Bachelor in Electrical & Electronic Engineering

Bachelor in Electrical & Electronic Engineering

Introduction

The Bachelor’s Degree Program of the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering is a 240 ECTS credits, 4-year program composed of eight semesters, each of which has a 30 ECTS workload. One ECTS equals 25.5 hours of student workload per semester.

Electrical and Electronics Engineering (E), is one of the basic units of general Engineering education. In terms of subjects of study, E can be conceived as involving two main branches:

  • Electrical Engineering covers high-voltage, energy, and power systems,
  • Electronic Engineering covers telecommunications, biomedical, and robotics.

Mission

Electrical Engineering is a discipline that studies electricity and electrical technology. Students discover the wonders of circuit theory and analysis, amplifiers, semiconductors, and reverse engineering. After graduation, electrical engineers design, develop, test, and fix electrical systems, as well as other electronic devices. Electrical engineering plays a crucial role in innovations in industries such as healthcare, transport, or robotics.

Some of the subfields within Electrical Engineering include Lighting Design, Energy Engineering, Power and Measurement, Smart Electrical Networks and Systems, Electronics, etc.

Courses in Electrical Engineering are interdisciplinary. They focus on principles from Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Electromagnetism, Electronics, as well as the fundamental Electrical and Electronic Engineering concepts. You learn how to take systems and devices apart, how they work, and how to fix them. Courses also focus on advancing current gadgets, communication systems, creating better and safer devices, and using new technologies to improve tools used by people daily. You will become familiarized with concepts connected to circuitry, electromagnetism, and semiconductors.

Aims

After graduating in Electrical Engineering, you will fully understand the importance of electric power and power generation. You’ll also develop technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Objectives

  • The main objectives of department Electrical and Electronic Engineering to become a national and international leader in academic ratings among departments and to develop future technologies are available in academic research and publications
  • To train electrical and electronics engineers who can follow critical thinking and leadership skills in an environment they work and can provide cooperation with the necessary scientific and social skills, can manager featuring innovative.

Career future

Electrical Engineering allows you to access lucrative jobs. Here are some of the most popular choices: acoustic consultant, broadcast engineer, CAD technician, electrical engineer, network engineer, system analyst, etc.
Prepare yourself for a profession in the design and development of electrical circuits, power and control systems, electronic components, computer architecture, and embedded software. Your education makes you employable in virtually any industry since all rely on electronics and electrical systems.

According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, the median annual pay (2021) for electrical and electronics engineers is $99,070.

Admission Requirements:
AACTD.us does not have a minimum GPA score requirement. However, the average GPA of admitted students at the university is 2.5 for UG programs and 3.0 for PG programs on a scale of 4.0. More than 90% of the admitted students were in the top 10% of their graduating class.

Decision Date:
AACTD’s decision for UG application 2022 was released in Early April for regular decision applicants. For PG programs at AACTD, the decision usually is released within 6-8 weeks after the application deadline.
