Diploma of Business Process Management

Duration: 1 Year

Program information

Business Process Management program, gives you the skills you need to improve operational efficiency,  save money, and drive business value. Skills you gain in this program are highly valued by employers in Canada, the U.S. and Europe. For instance, Business Process Management achieves such benefits as:

  • Reducing surgery wait times from months to weeks.
  • Helping Dell deliver a custom configured computer to your door in just days.
  • Assuring that the Canada Revenue Agency can process tax returns and issue
refunds in days rather than months.

To accommodate the schedule of working adults, this program is delivered in an alternative mode. Classes meet two evenings a week, Saturday mornings (in the fall term), in addition to three intensive one-week sessions (one in each of October, December and April).  The remainder of the program is presented in a convenient online format.

Through the program you’ll learn how to:

  • Use SAP enterprise resource planning software (Sheridan is a member of the SAP University Alliances program).
  • Develop new or improved business processes to achieve organizational goals.
  • Integrate appropriate technologies for analysis and development of business processes.
  • Create sound business arguments justifying process change.
  • Work professionally, ethically and effectively in individual and team environments.

The Business Process Management program focuses on manufacturing, supply chain, financial services and health care industries, in both the public and private sectors.

Learn via Case Studies

The Business Process Management program employs a case study method of instruction that allows you to explore practical rather than theoretical situations in a structured learning environment.

Cooperative Learning Experience

At the end of the academic portion of the Business Process Management program, you may apply to participate in a work term. With the assistance of the Cooperative Education department and your professors you’ll be placed in a company where you gain further hands-on experience.

The Business Process Management Graduate Certificate program of Sheridan College is accredited by the Canadian Supply Chain Sector Council through its National Accreditation Program (the NAP). The accreditation was granted in October 2012 and is effective for three years.
