Course breakdown:

Art and design

A broad course in which students can explore and develop ideas associated with two or more of the endorsements.

Applied Art

Students can develop ideas and explore practical outcomes by responding to project briefs which reflect a vocational, client-orientated context.

Fine Art

Students can select from a range of study areas within fine art including painting and drawing, sculpture and mixed media including collage and assemblage.

Graphic Communication

Students can select from a range of study areas within graphic communications including advertising, animation, design for print and digital media.

Photography: lens-based and light-based media

Students can select from a range of study areas within photography including portraiture, landscape or still life photography and documentary photography.

Textile Design

Students can select from a range of study areas within textile design including printed and/or dyed materials, domestic textiles, fashion and/or costume.

Three-Dimensional design

Students can select from a range of study areas within three-dimensional design including ceramics, sculpture and jewellery/body adornment.

Entry requirments:

Age:

Minimum 17 years (NZ & Aust) 18 years (International)

Prerequisites:

You should have a design/art background and basic computer knowledge. No previous experience with graphical software is required, but knowledge of Photoshop is helpful.

Portfolio Requirements:

Relevant visual work such as drawings, digital images, designs or photography.
